Hindi Pre-k (Age 3-5)

Samta Varia, Founder of Virtual PreSkool, Beginners Hindi Classes Age 6-10

Welcome to my Hindi Pre-k Age 3-5 class! This class is designed for your little ones to have fun learning to speak Hindi.

Learning Through Fun!

In this class I use stories, games, interactive activities and more to teach your little ones. We go on adventures, use creativity, listening skills, art and role play to learn Hindi and Indian culture.

For example, I created an interactive whale adventure for us to do in class. We developed our Hindi ocean vocabulary while simultaneously learning about whales. And the students really enjoyed it!

Ditch the Devanagari…for now.

I don’t teach reading and writing Hindi script. For most children growing up outside the Indian subcontinent, the primary use case is to be able to speak Hindi so they can converse with grandparents, cousins and relatives.

Plus, in my opinion, learning to speak Hindi first, is a more productive and efficient path to learn to read and write. It’s MUCH easier to learn Devanagari after one knows how to speak Hindi.

Your Hindi Pre-k Teacher, Samta Varia

Samta Varia, Founder of Virtual PreSkool, Beginners Hindi Classes Age 6-10

Thank you for your interest in Virtual Hindi Pre-K. What sets my classes apart is that your child will learn via Hindi in a fun, encouraging, and cheerful virtual classroom environment.

That means that while building their Hindi vocabulary and Indian culture knowledge they’ll also learn reading, writing, math, science, art and more.

At this age, your child is starting to learn to read. All of my class materials are phonetically spelled – in English – the way that your child is learning to read. For example the color blue in my pre-k materials is spelled n-e-e-l-a, not nila. The lessons and activities are engaging, interactive, visually stimulating, and fun.

Each class is 45 minutes, as that’s the threshold for this age and virtual learning.

I grew up in Orange County, California and learned Hindi organically. My parents spoke Hindi at home and unlike most kids, I responded in Hindi. I had a standing “date night” with my mom = paratha + a Hindi movie. I’d often pause the movie and ask about words and context that I didn’t understand. And I kept getting better and better.

More about me and I started Virtual PreSkool, here.

Can I try a class before enrolling? Yes. Register for a trial at the discounted rate $25. When you enroll, after the trial you get a full set of sessions. The trial is not part of the enrollment.

Are the classes live or pre-recorded?
Live, small groups; and the children will be able to see and interact with each other.

What is the teaching style? Playful, cheerful, encouraging.

Does the class come with materials? Yes! Everything is provided. Since this is a conversational Hindi class you’ll receive audio recordings but also workbooks designed for this age group to reinforce general knowledge i.e. reading, writing, math.

What happens if we miss a class? It’s recorded and we’ll send you the link, so you can make up the class on your own. Students are also welcome to sit in on another class to make-up the missed class.
